Our turning department contains high production lathes with multiple spindles, multiple turrets, bar feeders, and live tooling. With the bar feeder loading the material automatically into the lathe, the machine only stops when we need to change tools. Having multiple spindles and turrets enables us to be more cost effective by dividing the cycle time between the two spindles. Live tooling allows us to machine complex parts complete without having to add it into an additional CNC Machining Center.
Our turning capabilities can produce parts as small as .050 or as large as 12.00 inches in diameter. With the addition of a Mori-Seiki NL 2000MC, we can now turn parts up to 25.00 inches in length and bar feed up to 2.500 inches in diameter. If you have any questions, please contact us.
We utilize high production mills with built in pallet changing systems and forth axis capabilities. This equipment allows us to reduce your cost by shortening set-up and cycle time. The pallet changing system decreases overall cycle time because our machinists can load one pallet while the opposite pallet is machining another part. The full forth axis makes it possible for us to do complex parts with less set-ups while holding tighter geometric tolerances. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Our Engineering Department has experience in a variety of manufacturing industries including: aerospace, medical, semiconductor, hydraulics, pneumatics, automotive, and recreational.The engineering staff employs 3D part modeling, 2D print drawings, assembly prints, assembly modeling, fixture design, part design, and CNC programming. We also have experience with many different types of software. Many of our customers send us electronic files of their parts. We import the drawings directly into our software and begin programming. This minimizes interpretation errors and cost.

QDP is unique in that its work product consists of jobs wherein only one part is produced to other jobs where the quantities exceed one hundred thousand parts.
Providing the material and tooling is readily available, QDP can turn prototype work around in approximately 48 hours if needed.
